Greene County treasurer Donna Lawson reminds property owners that the first half of real estate and mobile home taxes are now due. A penalty of 1-1/2 percent per month ($1 minimum) becomes effective after TUESDAY, SEPT. 30.
Lawson asks that persons include their tax stub with their payment to insure proper credit.
Also, persons who are 65 years of age or totally disabled and have an annual income of less than $21,628 for 2014 may be eligible for additional credit on their real estate tax. Contact the treasurer’s office at 515-386-5675 for information.
